My best friend

My best friend is one of the most fun-loving people I have ever known. She always finds amusing things to do at any time of the day, on any day of the week. She  never waits until the weekend to get pleasure from her free time activities. She enjoys herself at meetings, parties or concerts without exception. It is not a difficult task for her to find somebody to go out with. She immediately gets enjoyment from gathering together with buddies, relatives and even acquaintances. She is for sure really outgoing.

Having a good time is her purpose. As a matter of fact, she tends to be in charge of organizing events, such as fancy dress parties, which she does enjoy! Every birthday, every Christmas and New Year´s Eve is tremendously hilarious if she organizes it. Her friends attend all events she invites them to, since they know they are going to be pure entertainment. If things turn out to be dull, she will actually feel disappointed and in a bad mood.

She loves having fun at all times. She goes on holidays everywhere she has the possibility to go. She treats herself to every concert she feels attracted by. All in all, she tries to avoid unpleasant moments. That´s why she is my best friend... because she enjoys life and I love sharing mine with her!

He paced around his office nervously, trying to make an urgent decision. Eventually, he leaped to the conclusion that one of his employees would have to be made redundant. He confidently picked up the phone and commanded his secretary to arrange a staff meeting for 5 pm.

After informing the worried employees about the unpleasant situation the company was going through, he brought the brief meeting to an end. Sitting at his desk and feeling quite miserable, he phoned Paul, one of the sales representatives. Finally, he gave him the bad news. “You are dismissed”- he told Paul coldly.

Two months later, out of work and bankrupt, Paul left his house carrying a black case. He made his way to the underground station, found a sheltered spot and laid a hat on the ground. He then took his shiny saxophone out of its case and began to play...
